Mazda MX-5 is a dapper rear-drive hot hatch, but it’s not popular in China. There is an improvement plan that is from a repacking factory to modify MX-5 with a V8 engine. It is introduced that the dynamical system is available to be installed at Mazda MX-5 from 1990 to 2009 for optimizing transmission system and control systems.
In dynamic, MX-5 is upgraded GM LS3 6.3L V8 engine, so that it achieves maximum 480 HP, the peak torque of 643 NM, and 3.8s speed-up from 0 km/h to 100 km/h. The factory is going to cram into a 7.0L LS7 engine from Corvette Z06.
In order to fit for the improvement in dynamic, MX-5 transmission is converted with a 6-speed manual transmission from Ford T56, and added a special axle shaft to transmit strong power. In control system, MX-5 is replaced adjustable coilover and high-performance system to improve handling.
